You can take an AI interview from Hong Kong or Singapore, but which ones depends on where you live and on how the interview reaches you. Of the platforms you sign up for yourself, Mercor accepts Singapore and not Hong Kong, micro1 says it cannot hire Hong Kong residents, and Braintrust lists both places among the countries it pays to. Wellfound lists jobs in both and names no country limit. Jack & Jill and Dex let you sign up too, but Jack & Jill says Jack is "especially strong" for roles in London and San Francisco, and the roles on Dex's home page are in London, the UK and Europe. The other AI interviews you are likely to meet are sent to you after you apply: by an employer that uses Interviewer.AI or LinkedIn Hiring Pro, or by Jobsdb in Hong Kong and Jobstreet in Singapore, where SEEK runs an AI pre-screen. ROUND.1 is a hiring marketplace for Hong Kong and Singapore where you take one AI interview and it is reused for the other roles you choose.
Each platform fact quotes that platform's own page as we read it on 15 October 2026, apart from one third-party source marked as such, and the table at the end of the page gives a source and a date for each cell. For what an AI interview is in general, see what is an AI interview. For the global picture of AI interviewer and recruiting tools, see AI recruiting tools compared.
How you meet an AI interview
There are three routes. You sign up with a platform and take its interview to join a talent network or to apply through it. An employer you applied to sends you a link to the tool it uses. Or the job board you applied on runs a screen for the employer.
The route decides whose rules apply. When you sign up, the platform's own country list decides whether you can take part. When an employer or a job board sends you the interview, you are already in that employer's hiring process, and the tool is whatever the employer chose.
Platforms you sign up for yourself
Jack & Jill
Jack is the candidate side of Jack & Jill, whose pages give a London head office and a San Francisco office. You start with "a conversation and your LinkedIn profile or CV", which the FAQ says "takes about 10 minutes". Jack then searches for roles and, when a company using Jill wants to meet you, introduces you directly. Jack & Jill says Jack is "completely free for candidates". Its pages describe a conversation followed by an introduction, not a scored interview. The FAQ says Jack is "especially strong" for roles "at startups and scale-ups in London and San Francisco", and adds that "he works for any knowledge worker". No page we read names Hong Kong or Singapore.
Wellfound
Wellfound's candidate page offers "One interview. Every application." Its FAQ describes "A single conversational AI interview call that candidates record once and send with every application on Wellfound", and says applications with an interview attached "go to the front of the line". The page calls it "a live call, not another form". Wellfound has job pages for Singapore and Hong Kong, and its candidate page names no country limit.
Mercor
Mercor's AI interviewer asks "role-specific questions", transcribes your answers and evaluates you "for the listing". Most interviews take "approximately 20 minutes", you need a camera and a microphone, and you can retake an official interview up to three times. If another application needs the same interview, "your existing result will be retained." Singapore is on Mercor's list of supported countries. Hong Kong is under "Unsupported countries", where Mercor says it "cannot onboard experts or issue contracts". Both help pages were last modified on 9 October 2026.
Dex
Dex calls itself "The talent agent for senior software engineers". It "guides you through finding your next role, asking what you actually want and only connecting you with companies that fit". Its candidate terms, last updated in September 2026, list "recording and transcribing AI-enabled conversations" among its services. Dex Talent Ltd is incorporated in England and Wales, and the roles on its home page were in London, the UK or Europe when we read it. Its pages name neither Hong Kong nor Singapore.
micro1
micro1's AI interview is "A conversational interview with our AI recruiter, Zara", available on demand, with "A real-time result indicating whether you meet micro1's global certification criteria". The work on its experts page is training AI models. micro1 says that "we are unable to hire individuals who reside in" a list of places that includes Hong Kong (HK), China and Macao. Singapore is not on the list.
Braintrust AIR
Braintrust is a talent network for contract and full-time work, and AIR is its AI interviewer. Braintrust says it is free to join and charges talent "$0 fees". To become approved talent you pass "a short 5-10 minute interview with our AIR Screening Interviewer". Companies also use AIR on their own applicants. In that case the link comes by email or text, "Most AIR interviews take 15–20 minutes", and AIR produces "a structured scorecard" for the hiring team, who make the final decisions. Hong Kong and Singapore are both on the list of countries Braintrust sends payments to.
AI interviews an employer sends you
Interviewer.AI
Interviewer.AI is a Singapore company, Interviewer.AI Pte. Ltd., with an address on Robinson Road. An employer that uses it sets the questions and shares the interview link. You record your answers "within a set time limit", the tool scores "Response relevance", and recruiters rate the answers and decide. Its home page says it is "trusted by 850+ organisations across Asia, the UK, ANZ and the US". You can also sign up yourself, but only to practise: the candidate page offers mock interviews and AI scores.
LinkedIn Hiring Pro
Hiring Pro is LinkedIn's set of AI tools for people who post jobs. LinkedIn calls its AI interview "an early stage feature". A hirer invites you through LinkedIn Messaging to "a voice-based or video-based AI screening interview", and you can take a practice interview first, as many times as you like. The hirer receives "the full transcript and the audio or video recording, along with AI-generated summaries and a 5-point rating based on the hirer's ideal responses". If you decide not to take part, LinkedIn says, "you will not be automatically disqualified."
LinkedIn names no countries for it. Its FAQ says Hiring Pro "is currently available only to a subset of members who promote their jobs", and its AI interview page says the invitations Hiring Pro sends on its own are "available to a limited group of users". The only Singapore evidence we found is third-party: an e27 interview from March 2026 with LinkedIn's director of talent solutions for Singapore and Malaysia describes "a Singapore-based payments startup with fewer than 10 employees" using Hiring Pro. That article does not mention the AI interview. We found nothing for Hong Kong.
The AI pre-screen on Jobsdb and Jobstreet
SEEK runs Jobsdb in Hong Kong and Jobstreet in Singapore, and its employer help pages for both, updated 20 July 2026, describe the same AI pre-screen. After you apply, the hirer can request one. You get an email invitation and have 7 days to complete it in your browser, and it is optional.
SEEK's AI assistant asks six preset questions, in English only: your most recent role, what you want next, what excites you about the organisation, the skills you would bring, a difficult situation you handled, and when you could start. You answer by voice or switch to typing at any stage, and you can review and edit before submitting. If you speak, the AI writes a summary for you to check, and the hirer receives the written response, "not the voice recording or full transcript". SEEK states: "The AI pre-screen does not decide, score or recommend whether a candidate should progress."
Assist is a separate SEEK product. SEEK's AI at SEEK pages for Hong Kong and Singapore say Assist "scores and ranks applicants against your specific hiring criteria" and "conducts AI voice interviews".
ROUND.1
ROUND.1 is a hiring marketplace for employers and job seekers in Hong Kong and Singapore, built by h.work. You sign up and take one AI first-round video interview in a web browser, with a camera and a microphone. It lasts about 20 minutes by default (roles can be shorter), 30 at most, and each role is interviewed in one language, English or Mandarin Chinese. The interview is scored competency by competency, each score backed by quotes from the transcript, and reused for the other roles you choose.
A company first sees your scored evaluation without your name or contact details, which open when it shortlists you after the interview. A person at the company decides whom to hire. Candidates pay nothing. Accent, pronunciation, grammar and fluency are not scored. There is one attempt; if the connection drops, the same interview can resume, once by default. The full list is on the AI information page.
How we compared
We read every page cited here on 15 October 2026 and quote it as it stood that day, with the date the page shows where it shows one. Each fact about a platform comes from that platform's own site or help centre. The one exception is the Singapore line in the LinkedIn row, which comes from e27 and is marked as third-party. The ROUND.1 row comes from its AI information page.
The rows are the AI interviews a job seeker in Hong Kong or Singapore is most likely to meet, grouped by how you meet them. The order inside each group is not a ranking, and this page does not score or recommend any platform. "Not named" in the table means the platform's pages we read do not mention that city. A listed country means the platform says it can engage or pay people there; it does not mean it has jobs for you there. SEEK's SmartHire recruitment service for employers is not covered.
Before you take one
Check the country list before you spend time on a sign-up platform, since Mercor and micro1 both exclude Hong Kong. For an interview an employer sends, the questions to ask are who sees the recording, whether you get a retake, and whether a person reviews the result.
| Platform | Practice | Retakes | What the employer receives |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mercor | A free practice interview, as often as you like | Up to three per interview | Mercor keeps the recording and transcript to evaluate you and recommend your profile |
| Braintrust AIR | Not stated | "Typically, you get one chance per question"; most interviews resume after a dropped connection | A structured scorecard; people make the decision |
| Interviewer.AI | Mock interviews on a free candidate account | Retry limits set by the employer | Your recorded answers and an AI relevance score |
| LinkedIn Hiring Pro | A practice interview, as many times as you like | Not stated | Transcript, recording, AI summary and a 5-point rating |
| SEEK pre-screen | Not stated | You review and edit answers before submitting | A written response, not the recording or full transcript |
| ROUND.1 | Not stated on /ai-info | One attempt; the interview can resume once by default | A scored evaluation, without your name until you are shortlisted |

Frequently asked questions
Can I take an AI interview from Hong Kong?
Yes, though not on every platform. Mercor lists Hong Kong as an unsupported country, and micro1 says it is unable to hire people who reside in Hong Kong. Braintrust lists Hong Kong among the countries it pays to, Wellfound lists Hong Kong jobs, and Jobsdb employers can send you SEEK's AI pre-screen after you apply. An employer can also invite you to an Interviewer.AI interview. ROUND.1 serves Hong Kong and Singapore.
Does Mercor accept candidates in Hong Kong or Singapore?
Singapore, yes; Hong Kong, no. Singapore is on Mercor's list of supported countries and regions. Hong Kong is under unsupported countries in Mercor's talent documentation, modified on 9 October 2026, which says Mercor cannot onboard experts or issue contracts in those locations.
Does the Jobsdb or Jobstreet AI pre-screen score me?
No. SEEK's help pages for Hong Kong and Singapore, updated 20 July 2026, say the AI pre-screen does not decide, score or recommend whether a candidate should progress, and the hirer receives a written summary, not the voice recording or full transcript. SEEK's separate Assist product is different: its AI at SEEK pages say Assist scores and ranks applicants against the hirer's criteria.
Is LinkedIn's AI interview available in Hong Kong or Singapore?
LinkedIn names no countries. It calls the AI interview an early-stage Hiring Pro feature, says Hiring Pro is available only to a subset of members who promote their jobs, and says the invitations Hiring Pro sends on its own go to a limited group of users. The only Singapore evidence we found is an e27 interview from March 2026 describing a Singapore startup using Hiring Pro, and it does not mention the AI interview. We found nothing for Hong Kong.
Do I have to pay to take an AI interview?
Not on the platforms here that state a price for candidates. Jack & Jill says Jack is completely free for candidates, Braintrust says it charges talent no fees, Wellfound offers a free profile, and Mercor's practice interview is free. ROUND.1 is free for candidates.
Can one AI interview count for several jobs?
On some platforms. Wellfound sends one recorded AI interview with every application. Mercor keeps your result when another application needs the same interview. ROUND.1 reuses your one interview for the other roles you choose. An interview an employer sends you, through Interviewer.AI, LinkedIn or SEEK, is for that employer's job.
